Holger Rune will not have the benefit of Boris Becker during the Australian Open, where the German legend has accepted another job.

Lately, Boris Becker and Nick Kyrgios have been engaged in a feud on social media.

Despite this, they will have to work together during the Australian Open, where both will serve as experts.

The feud was initiated by Kyrgios, who stated that tennis has evolved over the years.

In this context, he also said that former legends like Becker would not be able to compete today.

This prompted the German star to retaliate on social media. Among other things, he criticized Kyrgios by saying that he has never won a Grand Slam title.

Kyrgios, however, was not finished, as he did not consider Becker to be credible.

He wrote this with a reference to the fact that Becker had been imprisoned for hiding assets in a bankruptcy case.

Despite their apparently strained relationship, they will have to work together later this month, where both are part of Eurosport’s team of analysts and commentators.

Naturally, this also means that Becker will not be part of Holger Rune’s team during the Australian Open. Instead, the 20-year-old Dane will have to manage without him.

On the other hand, he can look forward to having Severin Lüthi by his side. He is a very experienced man, who was the coach of none other than Roger Federer for more than 15 years.

Rune has made an agreement with him for the rest of this season.

Therefore, there is no doubt that he will be in good hands during the big tournament in Melbourne.”
